Anarchism: Political theory appeared in the middle of the 19th century. The word Anarchy is originated by the ancient greek "An-Archos", which means
"without power". This system claims a decreasing of exploitation and oppression from men to men. In this way of thinking money or private possession do not exist anymore, and everybody makes his own contribution towards society and is taking what he needs for living.
Anti-Semitism: The meaning of this expression is "hate to the Jews" (do not mistake with fascism or racism!). The anti-Semitism took its origin shortly after the devastation of Jerusalem in the year 70 B.C. when many Jews were forced to leave Israel and to scatter themselves about the whole world (Diaspora). Early Christian ruling powers found out that the Jews represented a perfect scapegoat. Among other things, the "Christ-killers" (as they were named by the first anti- Semites) were accused of spreading the plague all over Europe. The anti-Semitism reached in the 19th century a new dimension, when scholars for the first time tried to found the "scientifical anti-Semitism", measuring, for example, the limbs of Jews and non-Jews and comparing them with each other. The supporters of the National Socialism also referred to the results of these examinations. The anti-Semitism is closely connected with the National Socialism but, however, should not be mistaken with it. Also some left groups are called now anti-Semites, but they consider themselves anti-Zionists, criticising the politics of the state of Israel.
Aryan race: According to the the new definitions in the international scientifical community, the differences between the supposed races are just external, no attempt to refer them to genetical heridity can success. Nevertheless, National Socialism used the theories of scientifics from the 19th century to see Race as one of the most important characteristics of every human being. According to these theories, a look in the History of Civilization shows up that there is a part of the "White Race", the "Aryan Race", that is the main actor in the developping of the modern world. The other ones, like Slavs, Semites, Black people and others would only be half human and then with less value as human beings, justifying politics of discrimination and in the end massive extermination.
Auschwitz: the most infamous concentration camp of the National Socialism and the incarnation of the mass extermination of the European Jews (Holocaust). Many Jews, Sinti and Roma ("gypsies") as well as political opponents of the Nazis were killed here as nowhere else. Neo-Nazis usually deny the cruel mass murder in Auschwitz and in the extermination camp nearby called Birkenau with the argument that some Soviet newspapers would have manipulated the number of the dead persons for propaganda purposes. But the incorrect information from the propaganda reports has been corrected since a long time. When neo-Nazis still keep on calling into question the number of victims, they try to lower the amount of the dead persons quasi for the second time. Others say that Hitler would not have known about the subject. However, this assertion is wrong because a multiplicity of documents and letters show that Hitler knew the holocaust beyond any doubt. To support or spread the so-called "Auschwitzlüge" (Auschwitz lie) is nowadays prosecutable in Germany and many other countries. Whoever denies the holocaust in any form in any public way or in meetings, can be sentenced to five-years-term or a fine for "incitement of the masses".
Constitutional hostility: Designation for all political activities which are classified as illegal and therefore forbidden by the government office for protection of the constitution ("Verfassungsschutz") and prosecuted by the Federal Constitutional Court (BVG). In the right scene we can find: all banners and badges of NS-institutions as well as other legal-extreme groups, the Hitler's greeting and all homages of Nazi's-guides or other organisations of the National Socialism as well as all kinds of xenophobic propaganda, especially the "Auschwitzlüge" (consider Auschwitz massive killing a lie).
Concentration camps: Probably the darkest face of the repression during the Third Reich, these camps were established in 1933 by the SS as "Special camps" to "reeducate" political prisoners. The organization model was Dachau, where the SS experimented also with means of industrial production, as well astechnics of torture and exploitation of prisoners. The first aim was to produce agricultural goods, but since 1936, the weapon industry began to absorb the production of the new camps (Buchenwald, Mauthausen, etc.). In these camps were also admitted homosexuals, religious minorities, gypsies, etc. During World War II the construction of concentration camps to produce war material was increased with new camps (as Auschwitz), and the SS proceeded to the systematical extermination of the prisoners, following Hitler's orders to give a "Final Solution" to this problem. At the end of the war there were 714.000 people living in these camps.
Fascism: Political movement founded in March of 1919 in Italy by Benito Mussolini, with the creation of the "Fasci di combattimento", coming to power in 1922 after the "March to Rome". The name comes from Fascismo, (fasces: a symbol of the old Roman emperors to show their absolute authority, thus a symbol of power). Fascism is based on the same idea of authoritary power. Although the supporters called it "social-revolutionary movement ", the principles were strictly hierarchic, intolerant, and dictatorial. The founder and leader, Mussolini, was for a long time revered by cult, until he was seized shortly before end of the war and hung by the Italians themselves. The fascism is not equal with the National Socialism, since it was developed in different national environments.
Final Solution: In 1941, Heinrich Himmler, the Reichsführer of the SS, gave the first instructions to Rudolph Höß, SS commander of Auschwitz, to begin with the systematic extermination of the prisoners in the concentration camps. This plan, coordinated by the Central Security bureau director Reinhard Heydrich, consisted in the search and concentration of about 11 million Jewish from all over Europe in extermination camps to be killed there.
Hitler's greeting: a greeting form of the National Socialists, consisting on a rigid body with the right arm tightened in a corner upwards while screaming with hard voice "Heil Hitler!". The Hitler's greeting was the official greeting, also among private individuals in Germany during the NS-regency. The words "Heil Hitler!" were a popular letter expression to be written before the signature. Today the whole Hitler's greeting is an offence. To avoid this, many National Socialist websites apply the contractions "88" what should stand for "HH" (H is the eighth letter in the alphabet).
Holocaust: The designation for the mass murder of millions of Jews from all over Europe, as well as Sinti and Roma ("gypsies") and other groups, under the political regime of the Nazis. The denial of the holocaust is nowadays prosecutable.
Hooligans: Radical supporters groups that appeared in football pitches in Great Britain in the sixties, but spreading quickly to almost every country. Usually with the help of large amounts of alcohol, the despersonalization suffered in the middle of a huge crowd with a common aim can drive the individuals to acts of violence they wouldn't commit under normal conditions . It's very usual to find connection between these supporters and radical extreme-right or extreme-left groups, adopting symbols like shaving the head, waving white power symbols, etc.
Misinformation: Spreading of false informations with the aim to set them as a true fact. Most National Socialist, fascist and racist pages help themselves reciprocally by means of the misinformation, to help them in absence of arguments. Misinformation consist of:
- Wrong quotations from books or the newspapers which have never existed;
- Quotations which are completely out of context, so they are easily interpreted wrongly.
- Usage of wrong number reports (usually concerning to the number of the NS-victims);
- Texts suppressing important informations, aimed to show a distorted view of the totality. For example, they show published statistics and affirm that foreigners commit much more crimes than Germans. In this case, it is not written that, on the one hand, a big part of this number are asylum violations and border crossing offences, crimes that, obviously, Germans can not commit, and on the other hand, that many foreigners belong to a lower-class, in which also many more Germans commit offences. Caution! Not only web pages pursue programmed misinformation! Also on pamphlets, even in known newspapers you can find misinformation aimed to set confusion among the readers! Please, do not believe everything what you read!
National Socialism: Political ideology appeared in Germany, marked by racist and misanthropical ideas and practices. The National Socialism divides mankind into different races (see also racism) and affirms that the Aryan race (i.e. preferably people with the attributes of being tall, blue-eyed, blond) is the "most valuable one". When Adolf Hitler took over the power in 1933 with the National Socialist party (NSDAP), the darkest phase in German history began. During the reign of terror of the National Socialists (Nazi), several millions Jews, foreigners, Sinti and Roma ("gypsies") and political opponents of the Nazis were killed in concentration camps. Hitler called his regime mystically " Millenary Empire " as in the Bible, but in the end after twelve years everything was over. From 1939 to 1945 they entered the Second World War, where the German armed forces were beaten, and finally had to capitulate unconditionally. The ideas of the National Socialism can seem to have been beaten either but, unfortunately, misanthropical and racist ideas emerged soon again, e.g., in form of the neo-nazism.
Neo-nazism: neo-nazism is the most recent appearance of National Socialist
ideology of thought in last decades (Neo = again). The ideological building of the National Socialism has remained mostly the same. The neo-nazism is therefore a sad example of people who are still not able to learn from the past .
Populism: Although every democracy is populist in the sense that people set in power should tend to solve the things according to the needs of common people, this term is used to describe a certain amount of political systems characterized by the figure of a charismatic leader who offers simpliest solutions to the problems of government. Usually, these solutions were blaming other groups like leftish, jewish, ethnic minorities, foreign countries, etc. of all the problems. The demagogy and the critique to bureaucracy in the system are also very common in their programs.
Racism: Formerly we called racism the research of different "races", although this designation is already discriminating "per se". Racists represent the view that one can divide mankind into different races like Negroid, Aryan, Indian, etc. The early race researchers had to admit that this organisation is not to be held taking into account the numerous individual abnormalities and differentiation. Nevertheless, Adolf Hitler took up these ideas and, to avoid the "mixture of the races", he forbade the "Aryans" to get married with "Jews". Certainly, some advocates of racism insist on the teaching of the different races, however, they do not always strictly represent the view that some races would be more valuable than others. Therefore racism should not be mistaken with fascism or anti-Semitism, although it is as completely unacceptable as the others.
Revisionism: Tendency to revisit methodically established doctrines, interpretations or practices with the final aim of changing them. In the area of nazism, it is the pretension of questioning the official data of the crimes which are committed by the Third Reich, the amount of murdered Jewish victims or even questioning the existence of the Holocaust itself. Their theories come up from the ideathat, whoever controls the past, can control the future as well. According to this, the zionists, based on their power and presence on the world mass-media, wanted to blame Germany to get compensatory money to build the new state of Israel. The feeling of responsibility would also stop any further attempt to go against the Jewish people or to justify their actions against palestinian people.
Right-wing extremism: a nationally oriented and racist ideology hostile to foreigners, and also associated with actions like verbal or violent attacks to foreigner that can end in murderor similar. Most of the right-extremist have a fixed enemy's picture: the foreigner, who is responsible of social problems like unemployment, lack of housing or crime in generally. Paradoxically they are getting criminal themselves this way.
Swastika: the most famous and widespread symbol of the National Socialism. Consisting on a cross with little feet in the extremes. Although the swastika is to be found in European history, there are also references of its use in the Asian area. In 1920 the swastika became the symbol the NSDAP, and in 1935 (two years after the Nazis seized power) became also the official symbol of Germany. Today the use of the swastika is an offence, like most of the National Socialist runes.
Vital Space: Consist of a geografical area big enough to provide all place and resources which are necessary for the independent development of a nationl group. In the theories of Adolf Hitler, this "Lebensraum" for the germanic nation should widen the frontiers of the Weimar Republic, confirmed after Versailles Treaty. The new space should include parts of what today belongs to Russia, Poland and to Czech Republic, as well as the union with Austria.
